LEH,April 28, 2026:The newly appointed Director of the School Education Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, Shri Imtiyaz Kacho (JKAS), today conducted an official visit to the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh.
Upon arrival, Shri Kacho was warmly welcomed by the Principal of DIET Leh, Shri Mirza Mehdi, along with all staff members of the institute. The Director was accompanied during the visit by the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Leh, Smt. Deldan Angmo.
During the visit, Shri Imtiyaz Kacho was given a comprehensive overview of the institute’s facilities, including a detailed tour of the existing infrastructure and all associated components of the DIET campus. He was apprised of the institute’s ongoing training programs, academic resources, and operational mechanisms.
Interacting with the faculty and staff, the Director assured his full support and coordination for all future ventures and initiatives aimed at strengthening teacher education and academic excellence in the region. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the Directorate and DIETs to enhance the quality of school education across Ladakh.
The visit concluded on a constructive note, with the Director reiterating his commitment to the holistic development of educational institutions under the UT administration.
