CEC LAHDC Kargil Reviews Preparations for Inauguration of Kargil Bhawan
Kargil, May 9, 2026: Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a preparatory meeting at the Council Secretariat, Kargil, to review the arrangements and pending works related to the upcoming inauguration of Ladakh Bhawan kargil wing at Dwarka New Delhi.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the completion of all essential works and facilities, including water supply, electricity, sewerage connectivity, and other allied infrastructure required for the smooth functioning of the Ladakh Bhawan kargil wingThe meeting also deliberated upon the tentative timeline for the inauguration, which is proposed to be held during the 3rd week of June.
Dr. Akhoon emphasized the importance of timely completion of all pending works and directed the concerned officers to ensure that no lapses occur in the final phase of preparations. He stated that Ladakh Bhawan kargil wing at New Delhi is an important asset for the people of Kargil and every effort must be made to ensure its successful inauguration and proper functionality
.Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Rakesh Kumar IAS, briefed the Chair about the overall status of preparations and the pending issues requiring immediate attention. He assured the Hon’ble CEC that all departments concerned are working in close coordination and that the remaining works would be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining quality standards.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kargil Rakesh Kumar IAS, Superintendent Engineer R&B Kargil Dr Thsewang Thinglas, joint Director/Chief Planning Officer Kargil Kacho Mohammad Hussain, Assistant Executive Engineer concerned R&B Kargil.
