CBSE Announces Window for Re-evaluation of Answer Sheets for Class 12 Students
New Delhi, May 17: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official notification regarding the post-result declaration facilities for Class 12 students, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a fair, transparent, and student-friendly evaluation process.
According to the notification, students who are dissatisfied with their examination results will be able to avail themselves of a two-stage review system introduced by the Board.
In the first stage, students can apply online to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. These scanned copies will allow students to carefully review the marking and evaluation done by the examiners. CBSE stated that applications for scanned copies can be submitted online from May 19 to May 22, with a fee of ₹700 per subject.
In the second stage, students who find discrepancies after reviewing their answer books may apply for verification of marks or request re-evaluation of specific answers in accordance with the official marking scheme. Applications for verification and re-evaluation can be submitted between May 26 and May 29.
The Board emphasized that the initiative aims to provide students with greater transparency and confidence in the examination system while ensuring that every student gets a fair opportunity to review their performance.Students are advised to visit the official CBSE website regularly for detailed guidelines, application procedures, and important updates related to the re-evaluation process.
