Drass, May 29, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho (JKAS), today visited the office of the Block Veterinary Officer (BVO), Drass. He was welcomed by Block Veterinary Officer, Dr.Amin Naqvi and other officials of the Department.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the ongoing works in the newly constructed office building.
The visit focussed on the ongoing development works, infrastructure facilities and to take stock of the functioning of the veterinary establishment. He reviewed the quality of construction and emphasized the importance of completing the remaining works within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining proper standards. He also highlighted the need for better infrastructure to strengthen veterinary and animal husbandry services in the newly formed Drass District.
Dr. Amina Naqvi briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the facilities being developed in the new office building and the benefits it would provide to the livestock sector and local residents. The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the staff and appreciated the efforts of the Department. He directed that citizens of the District should be provided hassle-free services and information should be effectively disseminated among the masses about existing and new schemes.
