Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to first year of 3 year Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology program and direct second year of three years Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology program under lateral entry.

The candidates will undergo bridge courses for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, offered by IHT, as per the guidelines.
Note: In case of the Board having system of grading in 10th/12th Examination, the candidate must endorse the proof of details of marks with their application form to enable the selection committee to prepare merit list which is prepared on the basis of marks secured.
For granting admission in Diploma in Handlooms and Textile Technology program, the maximum age limit for the candidates belongs to all categories except SC/ST is 23 years for first year and 25 years for direct 2nd year. In respect of SC/ST candidates the maximum age limit is 25 years for 1s year and 27 years for direct 2nd year as on 015t July 2026.
convenient date for a meeting for the preparation of the merit list may please be fixed tentatively between 4th to 09th June 2026 and the same may kindly be informed so that the undersigned or the representative could attend the meeting.
The merit list of candidates shall be prepared as per the Guidelines for admission given in Annexure-l.
The shortlisted applications along with the required enclosures (hard copy and soft copy in CD/DVD/Pen Drive typed in English preferably) may be forwarded to this Institute immediately to enable this Institute to issue the counselling letters to the candidates & complete the admission process.
The calendar of Important Dates (tentatively) for 2026-27 is given below (for reference only), but the same can be changed depending upon the situation of examination results in the state, in consultation with this Institute.
