Team Ladakh Wins Two Bronze Medals in Ski Mountaineering at Khelo India Winter Games
The Ski Mountaineering Association of Ladakh made a remarkable mark at the Khelo India Winter Games held at Gulmarg by securing two bronze medals in different categories.
In the Male Relay Race of Ski Mountaineering, the Ladakh team comprising Mohammad Hussain, Zaheer Abass, Sonam Stanzin, and Bashar Ahmad clinched the Bronze Medal after a spirited and determined performance.
In the Female Sprint category, Tsering Ladol also secured a Bronze Medal, further strengthening Ladakh’s presence in the national winter sports arena. The team was led by Manager Talib Hussain.
Speaking on their achievement, the players said that the medals were the result of collective team effort and the continuous support of their association. They highlighted that despite competing without adequate and modern equipment, they managed to secure podium finishes through dedication and hard work.
The athletes expressed confidence that with proper equipment and enhanced support, even better results can be expected in future national and international competitions.
Their performance has once again showcased the resilience, talent, and potential of winter sports athletes from Ladakh.
