Ladakh Pencak Silat Association Athletes Clinch8 Medals at North Zone Championship in Delhi
The Ladakh Pencak Silat Association registered a commendable performance at the North Zone Pencak Silat Championship held in New Delhi from February 22 to 24, securing a total of eight medals and bringing recognition to the Union Territory of Ladakh at the regional level.
A 13-member contingent represented Ladakh in the championship and clinched three gold, one silver, and four bronze medals across various categories. The achievement reflects disciplined preparation, structured training, and the growing presence of martial arts in the region.

The Association conveyed appreciation to the Sports Secretary, UT Ladakh, and the Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports Ladakh for their continued institutional guidance and support. Acknowledgment was also extended to parents for their encouragement and involvement, which contributed significantly to the athletes’ morale and participation.
Coach Ghulam Rasool was recognised for his dedicated efforts in preparing and guiding the team for the championship. The Association reiterated its commitment to promoting sports and encouraging youth participation across Ladakh.
