MP Ladakh Meets UPSC Chairman, Raises Key Issues of Recruitment and Transparency
New Delhi, April 8: Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Ladakh held a productive and constructive meeting with the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, New Delhi, today.
During the meeting, several important issues concerning the Union Territory of Ladakh were raised, with a special focus on the urgent need to fast-track recruitment to Gazetted posts. The MP highlighted the prolonged vacancies in various departments, which are adversely impacting governance and limiting employment opportunities for the youth of Ladakh.
The MP also expressed serious concerns regarding the ongoing Lecturer recruitment process and strongly emphasized the need for a more transparent, fair, and objective selection mechanism. It was suggested that written examinations be incorporated into the recruitment process instead of relying solely on interviews, to ensure merit-based selection and greater accountability.
In addition, other pressing issues affecting Ladakhi aspirants were also discussed in detail.The MP expressed gratitude for the positive and encouraging response from the Hon’ble Chairman of UPSC and conveyed hope for timely and meaningful action in the larger interest of Ladakh’s youth and administrative efficiency.
