Vande Bharat Express to Extend Service up to Jammu Tawi from April 30; Capacity Increased to 20 Coaches

Union Minister Jitendra Singh has announced that the Vande Bharat Express currently operating between Srinagar and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will be extended up to Jammu from April 30.

In a post on social media, the Union Minister stated that the extension of the service to Jammu Tawi will further strengthen rail connectivity in the region and provide greater convenience to passengers traveling between Kashmir and Jammu.He further informed that the train composition will also be upgraded from 8 coaches to 20 coaches, significantly increasing passenger capacity and improving overall travel comfort.

The enhancement is expected to benefit a large number of commuters, pilgrims, tourists, and local travelers by providing faster, more efficient, and comfortable transportation services.The move is being seen as a major step towards improving connectivity and boosting tourism, trade, and economic activity across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
