Kargil, April 25, 2026: With the endeavour to enhance the photography skills of Police Personal of District Kargil especially those from the Photo Section, the 05-day Photography Workshop was successfully conducted and concluded today at District Police Office (DPO), Kargil.

The workshop was managed by Team Stringmo, a collective of young girls. More than 20 police personnel from various police chowkis across Kargil District participated in the training programme.

The workshop aimed to equip police personnel with the basic principles and practical techniques of photography. Sessions focused on key aspects such as framing, composition, lighting, camera handling, and documentation practices essential for professional and official purposes within the police department.

During the concluding session, SSP Kargil Sh. Nitin Yadav-IPS, appreciated the dedication of the resource persons and the active participation of trainees throughout the five-day programme. He emphasized the growing importance of photography in policing, particularly in documentation, evidence collection, event coverage and maintaining official records.

ADO DPO Sh Mohammad Ali, DySP Hq Sh. Inayatullah and DySP DAR Sh. Tundup Dorjay were also present at the conclusion session who also appreciated the initiative and encouraged participants to utilize the acquired skills in their professional duties.

Team Stringmo with the responsibility of managing the workshop was also intended to encourage and recognize the contribution of these young girls in Kargil through meaningful community engagement and professional collaboration.

The trainees shared their valuable feedback during the concluding session, expressing satisfaction with the practical learning experience and requesting that more such workshops be organized in the future to further strengthen their photography and documentation skills.
