 GDC Zanskar hosts interactive session and sports meet with University of Ladakh students

Zanskar, May 22: Government Degree College Zanskar today organized an interactive session and friendly sports meet with students of the Department of Physical Education, University of Ladakh, Kargil Campus. The programme aimed at promoting academic exchange, sportsmanship, and institutional collaboration.

Principal Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi welcomed the visiting team led by Assistant Professor Dr. Murtaza Ali and highlighted the importance of such engagements in strengthening mutual learning. He also informed about upcoming initiatives, including a High Altitude Trekking Course and a proposed NIELIT course for students.

Dr. Murtaza Ali appreciated the progress made by the college, while Physical Training Instructor Mohd Javed emphasized the value of such interactions and presented sports equipment to the institution.

Students from both institutions participated enthusiastically in friendly matches of volleyball, table tennis, and cricket, reflecting a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a tea session, with participants appreciating the hospitality and expressing hope for more such collaborative events in future.
