Passport Mobile Van Camp to be Held in Kargil on June 15–16
Kargil, June 15: The District Administration Kargil has informed the general public that a Passport Mobile Van Camp will be organized by the Passport Office, Srinagar, on 15th and 16th June 2026 at the Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Bemathang, Kargil.The initiative aims to facilitate passport-related services for residents of Kargil and nearby areas, reducing the need to travel outside the district for passport applications and related procedures.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the camp, the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil has issued necessary directions to various departments. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Kargil, will oversee security and traffic management arrangements. The Tourism Development Authority, Kargil, will provide the venue and accommodation facilities for the Passport Seva officials.The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Kargil, has been directed to ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity, while the Electric M&RE Division and PHE Division will provide continuous power supply and drinking water facilities, respectively.
The Municipal Committee, Kargil, will maintain cleanliness at the venue and surrounding areas, deploy sanitation staff, and ensure proper waste management throughout the event. The Information Department has been tasked with widely publicizing the camp through print, electronic, and social media platforms.Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their passport-related formalities during the two-day camp. The initiative is expected to improve access to passport services and provide greater convenience to the people of Kargil.
