Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrated in Kargil in a Subdued Atmosphere
In Ladakh, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated across Kargil district with religious devotion and simplicity, as thousands of people gathered to offer special Eid prayers in a subdued atmosphere.
The main congregational prayers were held at inqilab Manzil Kargil and Hussaini Park Kargil, where a large number of devotees participated and offered prayers for peace, unity, and harmony across the world.
On the occasion, people were also seen offering fitra to the poor and needy, an essential charitable practice associated with Eid.
Similar congregations and Eid prayers were reported from various parts of the district including Drass, Sankoo, Tai Suru, Chiktan, and Zanskar, where people marked the festival with prayers and community gatherings.
