The claim of “only 9 days of oil reserves” is false and misleading.

India maintains a total reserve capacity of approximately 74 days, with the current stock cover at around 60 days.

These reserves include crude oil, petroleum products, and strategic reserves stored in secure underground facilities.

This ensures nearly two months of uninterrupted fuel supply across the country.The Government of India reiterates that fuel supply remains stable, sufficient, and secure for the coming months. There is no cause for concern regarding the availability of petroleum products.Citizens are advised to avoid panic and refrain from sharing unverified information. Always rely on official government sources for accurate and authentic updates regarding fuel and gas availability.
