ADC Kargil Leads Road Clearance Drive from Iqbal Bridge to Pashkum
Kargil, March 18, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Ghulam Mohammad (JKAS), led a sensitisation drive along the road stretch from Iqbal Bridge to Pashkum via the TV Station.
The ADC was accompanied by Naib Tehsildar, Kargil, Hassnain Mir, along with representatives from the Municipal Committee, Mechanical Department, and Kargil Police. The departments also deployed machinery and staff to ensure proper cleaning of the roads and to remove obstructions, construction materials, and other encroachments.
The ADC had instructed the owners well in advance to remove their belongings from the roadside to ensure hassle-free vehicular movement. In continuation of the drive, the administration also deployed machinery to clear the remaining materials from roadsides and footpaths.
I wish AD will ensure demolition of encouraged buildings .. a stitch on time save nine .. today is right time unless it is too late to do needful..
