Ali Asghar Day was solemnly commemorated today at Zainabia Hall, Haidary Mohalla, Kargil, under the banner of Basij-e-Zainabia, the Women’s Wing of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil, to remember the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ali Asghar (A.S.), the six-month-old infant son of Imam Hussain (A.S.), who was martyred in the tragedy of Karbala.
The program witnessed the participation of hundreds of infant children from across Kargil, lovingly carried by their mothers. The gathering reflected the deep attachment of the faithful to the message of Karbala and served as a tribute to the youngest martyr of Imam Hussain’s (A.S.) caravan.
Addressing the congregation, Aga Syed Mustafa Mosavi highlighted the significance of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Asghar (A.S.) and its universal message of resistance against oppression and unwavering commitment to truth and justice. He emphasized that the sacrifice of the innocent infant of Karbala remains one of the most heart-rending and powerful symbols of the struggle between truth and falsehood.
The speaker further noted that the remembrance of Hazrat Ali Asghar (A.S.) strengthens the resolve of believers to uphold the values of humanity, justice, dignity, and faith exemplified by Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions. He also called upon parents to raise their children in accordance with the teachings of Islam and the noble legacy of the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).
The gathering concluded with prayers for peace, justice, and the well-being of humanity.
