Annual Stock Verification Begins at Cooperative Super Mart
In Ladskh, the annual stock verification of consumer goods and other items at the Cooperative Super Mart commenced today as part of the financial year closing exercise for cooperative institutions.
The verification process is being carried out in the presence of the auditor and field staff to ascertain the factual position of cash and stock at the end of the financial year.
Assistant Registrar Cooperative (ARC) Parveen Akhtar also accompanied the field staff during the inspection and reviewed the balance stock at the Super Mart.
During the visit, the Assistant Registrar directed the field staff and the auditor to conduct the verification thoroughly by checking each item individually and ensuring proper numbering and record maintenance. She further instructed that any shortage detected during the verification process must be properly recorded and the defaulted amount, if any, should be immediately remitted.
The stock verification is part of the routine procedure carried out at the close of the financial year to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper management of goods in cooperative institutions.
