Kargil, June 05, 2026: Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today visited Choskore village and interacted with the local residents to assess their developmental needs and address public concerns.
During the visit, Dr. Akhoon held a public interaction meeting with the villagers, who warmly welcomed him and apprised him of various issues and demands concerning the area. The residents submitted memorandums highlighting several developmental requirements, including improvement of road connectivity, renovation and upgradation of existing public infrastructure, creation of new infrastructure facilities, and resolution of various administrative issues affecting the village.
The villagers emphasized the need for better road connectivity to enhance transportation and accessibility, besides seeking the strengthening of essential civic infrastructure. They also raised matters related to public services and administrative functioning, requesting timely intervention from the concerned authorities.
Giving a patient hearing to all the issues and demands raised by the villagers, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon assured them that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the relevant departments for appropriate action. He reiterated LAHDC Kargil’s commitment towards equitable development and welfare of all villages across the district.
The CEC further stated that the Council remains dedicated to addressing public grievances and ensuring that developmental aspirations of the people are fulfilled through coordinated efforts with the administration and line departments.
The villagers expressed gratitude to the CEC for visiting the village and personally listening to their concerns and developmental needs.
