DISTRICT POLICE KARGIL (LADAKH)Traffic Plan / Advisory for 30th March 2026
Kargil, March 29, 2026: District Police Kargil hereby issues the following traffic advisory for 30th March 2026 for the safety and convenience of commuters. Travelers are advised to strictly adhere to timings and safety guidelines, especially in view of weather conditions and avalanche threats.
Kargil–Srinagar (SSG) Road (Green)Subject to fair weather and road clearance, and after receiving a green signal from BRO, LMVs equipped with anti-skid chains shall be allowed to move from Minamarg towards Sonamarg.Timing: 0830 hrs to 1030 hrs from TCP MinamargNo vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timing due to avalanche threat.
Kargil–Zanskar (Penzila) Road (Green)Subject to fair weather and favorable road conditions, one-way traffic shall be allowed with anti-skid chains.მიმართულ: Kargil towards ZanskarTiming: 0800 hrs to 1100 hrs from TCP PanikharNo movement permitted after cut-off timing.
Kargil–Leh Road (Green)The road remains open for vehicular movement subject to fair weather and road conditions. Travelers are advised to remain cautious and follow traffic regulations.
Padum–Darcha–Shinkula Road (Green)Subject to fair weather, traffic shall be allowed:მიმართულ: Darcha towards ShinkulaTiming: 0800 hrs to 1200 hrsNo vehicle movement shall be permitted after the specified timing.
Nimoo–Padum (NPD) Road (Green)Open only on Sunday and WednesdayAnti-skid chains are mandatory for all vehicle
