Farewell to Students of Police Public School Kargil, merged with Pioneer Public High School
Kargil, March 31, 2026: The farewell and merger ceremony of Police Public School (PPS) Kargil with Pioneer Public High School, Kargil was held today at District Police Lines, Kargil. The function was presided over by SSP Kargil, Sh. Nitin Yadav (IPS), in the presence of officers of District Police Kargil, the management committee of Pioneer Public High School, students of PPS, staff and parents in a colourful and emotional programme.
Addressing the gathering, SSP Kargil Sh Nitin Yadav expressed his gratitude to the parents and students for being valuable partners in the journey of Police Public School. He stated that District Police Kargil is satisfied with the merger process, ensuring that not a single student or parent is affected. He further informed that the existing fee structure, uniform and books of PPS Kargil will continue till the next academic session, as per the directions of the Director General of Police, UT Ladakh, Sh. Mukesh Singh (IPS).
He also appreciated the Management Committee of Pioneer Public High School for accommodating both students and staff of PPS smoothly, without causing any inconvenience.
Sh. Mohd Ali, representing the parents, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ladakh Police Chief Sh. Mukesh Singh and SSP Kargil along with his team for facilitating the merger in an efficient and student-friendly manner.
Additional SP Kargil, Sh. Ishtyaq Ahmed Kacho (JKPS), also thanked the students, parents, staff and the management of Pioneer Public High School for their cooperation. He reiterated that District Police Kargil will always remain committed to supporting and serving the students whenever required.
Dy. SP DAR Kargil and Nodal Officer of PPS Kargil, Sh. Tundup Dorjey, welcomed the guests on behalf of District Police Kargil.
On the occasion, mementoes and khataks were presented to the Principal and teachers of Police Public School as well as to the Management Committee of Pioneer Public High School. Police staff associated with PPS were honoured with Appreciation Letters by SSP Kargil. Certificates were also awarded to meritorious students for the academic session 2024–2025, and farewell gifts were distributed among the students.
A Display of Police ,UTDRF, Security equipments was also showcased for the students at DPL Kargil.
Sh. Syed Mehrajuddin Shah (Secretary) and Sh. Murtaza Khalili (Director, Advisory Board) of Pioneer Public School were also present on the occasion.
Subsequently, a welcome programme for PPS students was held at Pioneer Public High School Kargil by the PPHS Management Committee ,where SSP Kargil Sh. Nitin Yadav (IPS) presided over the event and accompanied by Additional SP Kargil Sh. Ishtyaq Ahmed Kacho (JKPS), officers of District Police Kargil and other wings of Ladakh Police.
During the visit, SSP Kargil also inspected the classrooms and interacted with faculty members of Pioneer Public High School.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between District Police Kargil and Pioneer Public High School was formally signed at the conclusion of the event.
