Haj Committee Ladakh Calls on Union Minister Kiren Rijiju in Leh
Leh, May 5:
The newly constituted Haj Committee of Ladakh, led by its Chairperson Ghulam Abass Abidi, today called on Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju in Leh and presented a memorandum regarding Haj-related arrangements and concerns of pilgrims from the region.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude to the Ministry for its continued support towards facilitating smooth and dignified Haj arrangements, particularly for pilgrims from remote and geographically challenging areas like Ladakh.
Chairperson Abidi also conveyed appreciation for the trust and confidence reposed in the newly appointed members of the Haj Committee and reiterated their commitment to work for the welfare of the Muslim community in the Union Territory.
Former Chairman LAHDC Leh Tashi Gyalson and BJP Ladakh President Tashi Khachu were also present on the occasion.
The delegation sought continued guidance and support from the Union Ministry to further strengthen Haj-related services and ensure better facilities for pilgrims from Ladakh.
