 Israeli National Arrested with Suspected Narcotic Substances in Zanskar

In Ladakh, Police have arrested an Israeli national with suspected narcotic substances during a routine vehicle check at the Kargyak-Gonbo Rangjon Police Check Post, Zanskar.

The accused, identified as 24-year-old Adir Yemini, was travelling from Manali to Zanskar in a private vehicle when police intercepted the car and searched his belongings. During the search, police recovered 104 grams of suspected charas, 16 grams of suspected ganja, and a negligible quantity of suspected heroin.

An FIR has been registered at Police Station Zanskar under Sections 8, 20 and 21 of the NDPS Act. The seized contraband was sealed on the spot after completing all legal formalities.

District Police Zanskar said it remains committed to curbing drug trafficking and has appealed to the public to share information related to narcotics with the nearest police station or by dialling 112. The identity of informants will be kept confidential.
