JKNC Expels Dr. Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon from Party for Six Years
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has expelled Dr. Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon, Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, from the basic membership of the party for a period of six years.The order was issued by JKNC General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar after taking serious note of Dr. Akhoon’s alleged anti-party activities and actions that reportedly caused indiscipline within the party.
According to the party, the disciplinary action has been taken to uphold the principles, discipline, and unity of the organisation. The expulsion will remain in effect for six years from the date of the order.JKNC stated that maintaining party discipline is of utmost importance and that appropriate action will continue to be taken against members found violating the party’s principles and organisational discipline.
