K-9 Sniffer Dogs Deployed at Minamarg to Prevent Drug Trafficking into Ladakh

In Ladakh, District Police Drass has deployed trained K-9 sniffer dogs at Police Post Minamarg to strengthen efforts to prevent the supply of narcotic substances into Ladakh.

The specially trained dogs will assist police in detecting narcotic substances concealed in vehicles, luggage and with individuals, enhancing surveillance and enforcement along the strategic entry route into the Union Territory.

District Police Drass said the initiative is part of its continued commitment to ensuring a drug-free society through the use of advanced policing measures. The public and commuters have been urged to cooperate with police personnel during checking and screening to help safeguard the region from the menace of drug trafficking.
