Kargil, Ladakh: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) State Training Centre, Kargil, has expressed immense pride over the remarkable achievement of Mohd Hassan, son of Asgar Ali and a resident of Titichumik, Kargil, who has joined SAI Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), Patiala, Asia’s largest sports institute, as a Strength & Conditioning Coach after successfully completing his course in Sports Science.
An ex-boxing athlete of the SAI State Training Centre, Kargil, Mohd Hassan has already made his mark at the national level. He was part of the Indian contingent for the U-23 Asian Boxing Championships, serving as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach during the national training camp conducted at SAI NS NIS Patiala before the championship in Jakarta, Indonesia. During the camp, he worked alongside some of Asia’s finest young boxers, contributing significantly to their physical preparation and performance.
Currently, Mohd Hassan continues to serve at SAI NS NIS Patiala, where he is dedicated to helping athletes become stronger, faster, and more resilient through scientific strength and conditioning programmes.
Congratulating Mohd Hassan on his achievement, Syed Mehraj Uddin Shah, General Secretary, District Kargil Olympic Association, described his success as a proud moment for Kargil and the Union Territory of Ladakh. He said Hassan’s journey from being a trainee at the SAI State Training Centre, Kargil, to becoming a Strength & Conditioning Coach at India’s premier sports institute is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and perseverance.
Syed Mehraj Uddin Shah also expressed gratitude to the Government of India, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and all stakeholders involved in nurturing young sporting talent, stating that these institutions are playing a vital role in grooming young athletes into future assets for the nation.
The District Kargil Olympic Association wished Mohd Hassan continued success in his career and expressed confidence that his achievements would inspire many aspiring athletes from Kargil and Ladakh to pursue excellence in sports and sports sciences.
