Kashmiri Pilgrims Depart for Hajj 2026; First Batch Leaves from New Delhi
New Delh : Emotional scenes were witnessed across Kashmir as pilgrims bid farewell to their families and loved ones before embarking on the sacred journey of Hajj.
The first batch of Hajj 2026 pilgrims from India, comprising 371 individuals, departed for the holy city of Mecca from New Delhi on Saturday, marking the formal commencement of this year’s pilgrimage from the country.
Families gathered in large numbers to see off the pilgrims, offering prayers and expressing heartfelt emotions as their loved ones set out on this once-in-a-lifetime spiritual journey. Authorities have made necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience for all pilgrims.
Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, holds immense religious significance and continues to draw millions of Muslims from around the world each year, symbolizing unity, devotion, and faith.
