Ladakh Police Officials Meet Baseej-E-Imam Volunteers, Commend Peaceful Mourning Processions
Kargil, March 5, 2026: In a significant interaction underscoring community harmony, Dr. Sayed Zaheer Jafari (KPS), Additional SP (Headquarter) Ladakh and Staff Officer to the Worthy Director General of Police (DGP) Ladakh, along with Mr. Anaytullah, DSP Headquarter Kargil, met with the volunteers of Baseej-E-Imam at the Conference Hall of the Headquarters Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) in Kargil today.
Dr. Jafari, who traveled from Leh specifically for this meeting, visited the volunteers to express heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of the late Ayatullah Sayed Ali Hussaini Khamenei (r.a.), who fell victim to unlawful American and Israeli attacks.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jafari conveyed his deep sympathies to the members of Baseej-E-Imam and shared a message of support from the DGP Ladakh. In his address, he also extended gratitude—both personally and on behalf of the entire police department and the DGP—to the volunteers for organizing what he described as the “best ever and peaceful” Mourning Processions over the past three days, as well as their consistent conduct of other religious activities with utmost discipline and harmony.
The program was hosted by the executive members of Baseej-E-Imam, led by Mr. Ahmad Hussain, General Secretary of Baseej-E-Imam. The proceedings commenced formally with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Nasrullah, a member of Baseej-E-Imam IKMT Kargil.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by the collective recitation of Dua-E-Faraj and Dua-E-Inqilab, praying for peace, unity, and solidarity.
The meeting was marked by a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation, further strengthening the bond between the police department and the community in Ladakh.
