Ladakhi Pilgrims’ Caravan for Hajj 2026 Flagged Off from Hajj House, Srinagar
Srinagar, April 30, 2026: The Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today flagged off the caravan of Ladakhi pilgrims proceeding for Hajj 2026 from Hajj House, Srinagar, and subsequently proceeded to Srinagar Airport to see off the pilgrims as they departed for the holy journey.
The Hon’ble CEC was accompanied by Chairman, Hajj Committee, Mohd Ali Majaz, Hon’ble Councillor Town, Haji Abass, Executive Officer, J&K Hajj Committee, Dr. Shujaat Quraishi, and SP Security, Srinagar.
Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon extended heartfelt prayers for the safe and spiritually fulfilling completion of the Hajj pilgrimage by all Ladakhi pilgrims. He expressed hope that the pilgrims would return home in good health and with their prayers answered.
The CEC also appreciated the efforts of the Hajj Committee and concerned authorities for the smooth facilitation of the pilgrimage arrangements.
