In Ladakh, Council Model High School Goma, Kargil organised a programme to bid farewell to outgoing teachers and welcome newly posted teachers following the recent implementation of the general transfer policy in the education department.

Director School Education, UT Ladakh Imteeaz Kacho and Councillor Town Haji Mohd Abass Abdulpa attended the programme as guests.

Secretary Village Education Committee (VEC) Abass Ali Khan, other VEC members, and Headmistress Zareena Parveen were also present on the occasion.

During the programme, the newly appointed teachers were warmly welcomed with traditional khataks as a gesture of respect and hospitality.

A heartfelt farewell was also organised in honour of the outgoing teachers. Students, staff members, and VEC representatives expressed gratitude for the dedicated services rendered by the departing faculty and wished them success in their future assignments.

Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Town Haji Mohd Abass Abdulpa appreciated the contribution of the outgoing teachers in making the school one of the best educational institutions in the district. He expressed hope that they would continue to serve with the same dedication at their new postings and urged the newly appointed teachers to maintain the benchmark set by their predecessors.

Director School Education UT Ladakh Imteeaz Kacho appreciated the efforts of the school administration for organising such a meaningful programme and stressed the importance of collective efforts to further improve the standard of education in the district.

Students also shared their experiences and expressed their appreciation for the teachers, making the event an emotional and memorable occasion.

The programme concluded with appreciation remarks and a renewed commitment towards strengthening the education system in the region. Later, the guests presented khataks and gifts to the outgoing teachers on behalf of the Village Education Committee.
