Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has, for the first time, released the Provisional Answer Key for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026, marking a significant step towards greater transparency in the examination process.
Candidates who appeared in the examination can submit their representations, if any, till 6:00 PM on May 31, 2026, through the dedicated “Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)” available at upsconline.nic.in.As per UPSC, candidates must submit representations by indicating the correct answer key as per their understanding along with a brief explanation and supporting documents from three authentic sources.
The Commission stated that all representations received will be reviewed carefully by subject experts before the final answer key is released after the declaration of the final result.UPSC said the move reflects its commitment to transparency, fairness, and integrity while giving candidates an opportunity for informed and constructive participation in the examination process.
