AAP MPs in Rajya Sabha Merge with BJP, Says MP Raghav Chadha
New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha stated that, exercising the provisions of the Constitution of India, more than two-thirds of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs in the Rajya Sabha have formally merged with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to him, seven MPs have signed the official document regarding the merger, which has been submitted to the Honβble Chairman of the Rajya Sabha for necessary consideration and action.
Raghav Chadha further stated that he, along with two other MPs, personally handed over the signed documents to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
He said that the move has been carried out in accordance with the constitutional provisions governing mergers and legislative party realignments in Parliament.
