GDC Kargil Invites Bids for Running College Canteen for Academic Session 2026-27

Kargil, April 22, 2026: The Office of the Principal, Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil, under the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh and Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil, has invited sealed quotations for the operation and maintenance of the College Canteen for the Academic Session 2026-27.

According to the bid document issued by the College Development and Purchase Committee, applications are invited from registered catering agencies, contractors, and eligible individuals for running the canteen at GDC Kargil. The contract will initially be for one year and may be extended up to five years based on satisfactory annual performance reports submitted by the college canteen committee.The selected bidder will be responsible for providing quality refreshments, tea, snacks, and lunch services to students and staff.

All food items must be served strictly according to the rates approved by the college administration.Interested bidders are required to submit self-attested copies of essential documents including a valid FSSAI license, registration certificate, proof of at least one year of experience in operating a canteen in a government or educational institution, and an affidavit declaring that the applicant has never been blacklisted by any government department.

Applicants must also submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹5,000 in the form of CDR/FDR pledged to the Principal, GDC Kargil.As per the financial terms and conditions, the minimum reserved annual license fee has been fixed at ₹10,000 per annum. The successful bidder will also have to furnish a security deposit of ₹20,000 as a performance guarantee.

The annual license fee will increase by 5% every year during the extension period.The college administration has urged interested parties to participate in the bidding process and ensure compliance with all prescribed terms and conditions mentioned in the bid document.
