Action Ordered as School Found Closed During Working Hours;, Staff Strengthened
Kargil, April 3, 2026 – Today, reports have been received through media outlets that Government Middle School Sharchay was found closed during working hours. Taking serious note of this matter, directions have been issued to the Zonal Education Officer, Kargil, to initiate immediate action against the defaulters.
In order to strengthen the teaching staff and ensure uninterrupted academic activities, six teachers have already been posted at the school following recent transfers. Additionally, two language teachers are being posted shortly to further enhance institutional capacity.
The Department of Education reiterates its commitment to maintaining accountability and ensuring that students at Government Middle School Sharchay receive consistent, quality education. Strict measures will be taken against negligence, and parents are assured that the school will continue to function with adequate staff support.
Furthermore, the Department is implementing a face-based attendance system across all institutions under the Education Department to ensure punctuality and accountability of Officers and Officials.
