Central Administrative Tribunal Srinagar Bench to Hold Circuit Sitting in Kargil from April 15–17

Kargil, April 13, 2026: The Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar Bench, is scheduled to commence its sitting at Kargil from April 15 to April 17, 2026.

On their arrival at the Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Kargil, the Hon’ble Members of the Central Administrative Tribunal Srinagar Bench—Justice Ritu Tagore, Member (Judicial), and Prashant Kumar, Member (Administrative)—were accorded a warm reception by Shri Qureshi Tariq Mehmood, Administrative Secretary, Law, Union Territory of Ladakh. The Hon’ble Members were also received by the Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Rakesh Kumar along with the Administrative Secretary.

The Administrative Secretary, Law also received the Deputy Solicitor General of India, Shri Tahir Majid Shamsi, who accompanied the Hon’ble Members during their visit. District Litigation Officer, Kargil Sh. Khadim Hussain along with the Associate Law officers of Law Department were also present during the reception.

The visit of the Hon’ble Bench to Kargil marks an important step towards ensuring accessible and efficient delivery of justice to government employees and other stakeholders in the region. The sitting is expected to facilitate expeditious disposal of pending cases and provide litigants an opportunity to present their matters locally.

The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has made all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the proceedings during the Bench’s stay in Kargil.
