District Police Kargil Conducts Orientation Programme for Ladakh Police Aspirants Ahead of Recruitment Exam
Kargil, April 15, 2026: District Police Kargil organised an orientation programme for constable aspirants appearing in the upcoming Ladakh Police Recruitment written examination. The programme was held at Syed Mehdi Memorial Auditorium Hall, Kargil.
The programme was chaired by SSP Kargil Shri Nitin Yadav (IPS) in presence of Additional SP Kargil Shri Ishtiyaq Ahmad Kacho (JKPAS), DySP DAR Kargil Shri Tundup Dorjey and other officials of District Police Kargil.
Welcoming the participants, Additional SP Kargil Kacho Ishtyaq briefed about the Orientation Programmes which have been conducted on the directions of the worthy DGP UT Ladakh, Sh.Mukesh Singh -IPS and under the supervision of SSP Kargil Sh. Nitin Yadav, IPS.
Resource Person SI Mehdi Khan, Incharge Police Post Bazar Kargil, delivered the presentation on eligibility criteria, examination pattern, selection process, and the role of NCC certification in recruitment.
Resource person, Sh. Mehboob Ilahi, a Revenue official, informed aspirants about the syllabus scheme and “Roam Prep” mobile application for preparation and mock tests. He also advised candidates to study previous years’ question papers to understand the exam pattern.
SSP Kargil addressed the aspirants and spoke about the role and responsibilities of police personnel. He advised candidates to prepare seriously for the examination and work hard to succeed in the competitive environment. He also conveyed his best wishes to all aspirants.
A large number of aspirants attended the programme, which was conducted in two batches. An interactive session was also held, where aspirants raised their queries and received responses from the resource persons.
Inspector Haji Mohd Nissar, RI DPL Kargil, was the convener of the programme.
