Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Opens Tulip Garden for Visitors in Srinagar
Srinagar, March 16: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday officially opened the iconic Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden for visitors, marking the arrival of the spring season in Kashmir.
Nestled at the foothills of the picturesque Zabarwan Mountains and overlooking the famous Dal Lake, the garden has once again opened its gates to tourists and locals, heralding the blooming season and the beginning of vibrant spring festivities in the Valley.
The annual opening of Asia’s largest tulip garden attracts thousands of visitors every year, offering a spectacular display of colourful tulip varieties spread across vast terraces. The event also signals the revival of tourism activities in the region as the Valley welcomes the spring bloom.Officials said the garden is expected to draw a large number of tourists and nature enthusiasts from across the country and abroad during the blooming period.
