Director School Education Ladakh Inaugurates FLS 2026 Workshop at DIET Kargil
Kargil, April 09, 2026: Director School Education, Ladakh, Sh Imteeaz Kacho addressed the inaugural session of a two-day workshop for Field Investigators on the Foundational Learning Study (FLS) 2026 at DIET Kargil.
FLS 2026 is a pan-India assessment initiated by the Ministry of Education to evaluate the learning levels of students at the foundational stage across the country. The Director emphasized the critical importance of ensuring reliable, accurate, and consistent data for meaningful outcomes.
Resource persons from NCERT and IIT Delhi will facilitate hands-on training sessions during the workshop. Notably, FLS 2026 will be conducted for the first time in a digital format using tablet-based applications, with IIT Delhi serving as the technology partner.
