 Indian Army Organises Career Counselling and Art Exhibition on International Women’s Day at Thasgam

In Ladakh, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Indian Army organised a Career Counselling session and Art Exhibition for young girls at Thasgam village in Kargil district of Ladakh.

The programme was held for girls from Thasgam, Khiber and Shimsha villages with the aim of inspiring them towards education, creativity and meaningful career opportunities.

Assistant Professor at Government Degree College Drass, Ms. Archo Fatima Nissa, along with Ms. Yasmin and Ms. Nasra from Team Stringmo, were the key speakers on the occasion. They shared their personal journeys and experiences, encouraging the girls to believe in their abilities and pursue their dreams with determination.

An Art Exhibition was also organised during the programme where members of Team Stringmo showcased their artworks, inspiring participants to explore art as a medium of creative expression and social awareness.

At the end of the event, the Indian Army felicitated the resource persons in recognition of their valuable contribution and for motivating the young participants.

The initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Indian Army towards community outreach, youth empowerment and the promotion of education and creativity in remote regions of Ladakh.
