Driving an ambulance over 580 km from Kargil to Batala (near Amritsar, Punjab) – including crossing the treacherous Zojila Pass – is no small task. Completing the journey from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM (17 hours) while transporting a deceased person shows immense professionalism and compassion once again today on 5 April 2026.
The title “King of Zojila” for Ahmad Hussain (Andoh) seems well-earned, given the difficult terrain and long hours. Such drivers often work in harsh conditions, low oxygen, and unpredictable weather, yet they ensure dignity for the deceased and support for grieving families.
