SSC Invites Applications for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2026
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Government of India, has officially released the notification for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2026 for recruitment in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations under the Government of India.
As per the notification issued on 24 April 2026, eligible candidates possessing stenography skills can apply online through the official SSC website.
Important Dates:
- Starting Date for Online Applications: 24 April 2026
- Last Date for Submission of Applications: 15 May 2026 (11:00 PM)
- Last Date for Online Fee Payment: 16 May 2026 (11:00 PM)
- Application Correction Window: 20 May to 21 May 2026
- Computer Based Examination: Scheduled between July – August 2026
The Commission has announced approximately 731 tentative vacancies for the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’. Detailed category-wise and post-wise vacancies will be updated on the official SSC website in due course.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities categories will be provided reservation benefits as per Government norms.
